Tours vary in price depending upon time of sail. Adult prices for day trips begin at $35.50 and night tours at $42.50. Children prices range from $21.75 to $25.25. Toddlers (0-4) are Free.

Hours -

Hours of operation vary. Day departures begin at 8:45 am are run every half hour throughout the day. Evening tours begin at 5:55 pm and the combined Angel Island - Alcatraz Island tours being at 9:30 am. Alcatraz is open every day except Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's day.

How long are Alcatraz tours?

Tours are approximately 2.5 hours for a regular trip to Alcatraz Island. If you are taking the combo Island Tour, plan on about 5.5 hours. Throughout the various tours guests will hear audio logs and recordings of prisoners, guards and historians about the unique history of the island and prison.

Where do Alcatraz tours leave from?

The ferry boats leave from Pier 33 on the San Francisco Embarcadero at Fisherman's Wharf. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to check in and ensure their spot. The temperature on the boat and the island can be brisk depending on the weather, so plan ahead and dress accordingly.
