Great location! If you're a walker you can walk to the Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Fields in 10-15 min. My hubby and I love Crissy Fields beach because of the beautiful Golden Gate bridge as backdrop. If you're taking your dog with you, even better, because the beach is very clean and a paradise for off-leash dogs and their happy owners. You can also walk to the row of restaurants on Chestnut st just behind the hotel. Staying at Marina Motel is always a pleasure -- we've stayed here at least 4 times and it's like staying in a little home with a little kitchen and a big ref, big electric oven with stovetop and a microwave. You can even do home cooking! The kitchen has all the utensils you need and you can shop for your ingredients at the meat store and groceries right on your back street. During these COVID-19 times, this nice place which provides easy access to the beach is a great refuge from prolonged lockdown at home and in our backyard. Front desk staff who are polite with a very good sense of humor is a big plus.

We come from a small town in oregon and the first motel we had reserved was absolutely awful. So glad that the Marina welcomed us at almost their closing time. The guy who checked us in was extremely nice and was full of info about the area. And the history of the motel was awesome in itself. Thank you!! If we ever find our way back to san fran we will definitely be staying here!
